Rockin’ Girl Blogger

I have been nominated for a Rockin’ Girl Blogger Award by Debio. This calls for a trip to the shops to buy a glamorous outfit and some killer heels.

I hope I get to meet George Clooney at the awards ceremony. Mmmm I think a trip to La Senza might be in order too don’t you?

Thanks Debio.

Now on to my nominees for the award. They are:-

Kelly the Domestic Goddess
Funky Munky
I Should be Working
Katie
Nunhead Mum

We can all chip in for a taxi but George is mine!

Sadly my blog seems unwilling to add a page element to the template thereby ensuring that the Rockin’ Girl Blogger Award picture may never see the light of day on my blog. If anyone can help I would be most grateful.

Amazingly, I might be able to help you. Now I think what I did was to save it my images and then type in the very long and scary code which was something .jpg - it wouldn't work any other way - and then after the fifth or sixth go it actually turned into a picture. I was very surprised. Does that help? Probably not....

Sweetie, you have made my day!!

I right clicked the picture, saved to my pictures, then uploaded in picture page element.....

Oh, and you can have George. It's only fair.

Oh my goodness. I've never been nominated for anything before! I'd better start practising that "I'm really pleased for you, honestly" look favoured by celebrities at awards ceremonies!!

Thank you for cheering me up!!

Thanks Omega Mum. I'll give it a try. I'm not an IT natural sadly. I'm not even quite sure how I set up this blog in the first place!

Thanks Kelly - it is a pleasure to have been of assistance. I'll have to have a fiddle and see what I can do with the picture.

And if I get to see George that will have made my day.

I'm glad I was able to cheer you up Funky Munky. Don't you just love those "I'm really pleased for you" faces. You just know that they are so false. They would be better to come right out and say - I hate you and I think I should have won.

Hooray. After a bit of fiddling the picture has finally appeared. Although I will be waiting with baited breath to see if it is still there tomorrow.

Oh, wow, a nomination - thank YOU, Gwen! now you've got me hoping George Clooney gets a cold and cancels, and they replace him with John Cusack!

(and I can't add pictures tomy blog either but I suspect it's just me being my normal dyspraxic self)

I hope you bought yourself a fabulous outfit!

I suppose there is nothing to stop both George and John coming along. We can but hope.

Re adding pictures. You could try the following which worked for me after the third attempt:-

1. Copy and save the picture on my blog to your PC
2. Select New Post
3. Select Template
4. Select Add Page Element
5. Select Picture - Add to Blog
6. Leave the title and caption blank.
7. Select Image - Browse from your computer
8. Select Browse
9. Find the image as saved on your PC
10. Select Open
11. Save Changes

Best of Luck!

I certainly did Katie. My virtual outfit slims me down by a couple of stone and makes me look like Nicole Kidman. Well, I can but dream.
